Powerlifter suspended for two years for anti-doping rule violation

The Sports Tribunal has suspended powerlifter Jason Anderson for two years for returning a positive test for tamoxifen, a Specified Substance prohibited at all times. The suspension was backdated to 13 May 2019 (the date of the test) for the athlete's timely admission.

Sports Tribunal grants appeal of Rotorua rugby league club

The Sports Tribunal has granted the appeal of Central Rugby League Club of Rotorua, which had appealed a decision by Bay of Plenty District Rugby League to suspend its committee (which was upheld by a New Zealand Rugby League Appeals Committee).

Canoe sprinter suspended for two years for anti-doping rule violation

The Sports Tribunal has suspended canoe sprinter Lee Marshall for two years for returning a test with significantly elevated levels of androsterone, testosterone and 5βAdiol. The suspension was backdated to 16 February 2019 (the date of the test) for the athlete's timely admission.
