Legal Assistance

Legal Assistance Panel

The Sports Tribunal established a “Legal Assistance Panel” which allows parties to access qualified and affordable legal representation.

The Tribunal sought skilled, experienced, and independent sports lawyers who agree to represent athletes and sports organisations involved in cases before the Tribunal (Panel Lawyers) – sometimes on a reduced or free basis.

The Tribunal has a list of contact details for these Panel Lawyers:

The Panel Lawyers have advised their position regarding fees within the list, but it remains a matter for you to contact a Panel Lawyer and discuss your situation with them. You need to agree with your Panel Lawyer a fee that is acceptable to you before you engage them to provide legal advice.

If you need support for legal fees for an anti-doping rule violation (ADRV), then please refer to the section below titled: Legal Support Fund.

Hearings for the Sports Tribunal are often conducted remotely, usually by video or telephone conference. A Panel Lawyer from outside of your region might still be able to assist you – again, you should discuss this with them.

If you have any questions about the Legal Assistance Panel, then please contact the Registrar of the Sports Tribunal at: [email protected] or 0800 55 66 80.

If you are a lawyer that would like to apply to join the Legal Assistance Panel List, then please follow this link:
