Luke Macris is the Registrar of the Sports Tribunal. He has a background in both law and sport, having completed LLB (Hons) & BPhEd, a master’s in physical education (with distinction), and a PhD in Sport Policy and Management from the University of Otago. He has worked in legal-based roles for the University of Waikato and Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec/Te Pūkenga), teaching positions at the School of Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Sciences (University of Otago), and as a Law Clerk/Junior Counsel to Judith Ablett Kerr KC. Luke plays and enjoys a wide range of sports, but has a particular passion for football/futsal with significant coaching experience across a range of ages and levels.
