The Sports Tribunal dismissed an appeal by Playaz Volleyball against a decision of Volleyball New Zealand concerning the eligibility of Harbour Raiders Volleyball Club to compete in the 2026 Northern Zone Competition. The Tribunal found that the appeal was, in substance, an attempt to challenge an earlier decision of the VNZ Chief Executive, which was not appealable to the Tribunal. It further held that the VNZ Board had acted within its powers in declining to revisit a matter that had already been investigated and determined, and rejected allegations of a denial of natural justice. The appeal was dismissed.
