Athlete suspended for anti-doping rule violations

Morgan Foster, an athlete registered with both Surf Lifesaving New Zealand and Athletics New Zealand, has been suspended by the Sports Tribunal for three years for Possession and Trafficking of prohibited substances (Ipamorelin, Tesamorelin, TB-500 & BPC-157). The Tribunal concluded that Mr Foster’s sanction for multiple violations, with Trafficking being the more severe, should be a four-year period of ineligibility with a one-year reduction for early admission of the anti-doping rule violations and acceptance of the period of ineligibility. The period of ineligibility was backdated to the date of his provisional suspension, 22 December 2024, which means Mr Foster is ineligible to participate in competitive sports until 22 December 2027.
