Warwick has broad decision-making experience. He is a former member of the Copyright Tribunal and has presided as deputy-chair of that tribunal. He has also served as a trademarks hearings officer, and as a panellist for both the New Zealand Domain Name Dispute Resolution Service and the corresponding service provided internationally by the World Intellectual Property Organisation. From 2014 to April 2021, he was as an Associate Judge of the High Court.
Warwick currently practises as an arbitrator and mediator from chambers in Auckland.
Warwick is a lifelong sports enthusiast, with particular passions for cricket, rugby and golf. He played cricket at senior club level, and later served on the management committee of the North Shore Cricket Club, where he remains a member. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he was a member of Auckland Cricket’s disciplinary committee.
