Dan Buckingham MNZM

Dan Buckingham, of Auckland is a former Paralympic gold medallist and Wheel Blacks captain who represented New Zealand in wheelchair rugby for 16 years. He now serves as Chief Executive of Able and brings extensive governance experience through roles with ACC, Drug Free Sport NZ and the Disability Media Collective, alongside deep knowledge of the disability sector. Mr Buckingham brings lived experience as a para-athlete, currently not present amongst the Tribunal membership, deep involvement in high performance sport, and governance experience. He offers insights into key integrity challenges facing sport and anti-doping.
