Cricket player suspended for anti-doping rule violations

  • News

Cricket player Doug Bracewell has been suspended by the Sports Tribunal for one month for the presence and use of cocaine, a prohibited substance. The period of ineligibility represents a reduced sanction due to cocaine being a substance of abuse and it being taken out of competition. Mr Bracewell completed an approved treatment programme which enabled the reduced sanction. The period of ineligibility was backdated to the date of his Provisional Suspension, 11 April 2024, meaning he has served the ineligibility period.
