The Sports Tribunal is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of Nick Davidson, a former long-serving member of the Tribunal.

Nick was appointed Deputy Chair of the (then) New Zealand Sports Disputes Tribunal for the term 2003-2011. He was then later appointed as a Deputy Chair of the Sports Tribunal in 2019 before retiring in May 2023.

With his vast experience in the law and in the sporting disputes arena, Nick was an invaluable member of the Sports Tribunal. He was highly respected by all those who came into contact with him and he played a pivotal role in many important decisions of the Tribunal. For the members of the Tribunal, it was a huge privilege and pleasure to have known and worked with him.
