Anti-doping – canoe sprinter based in Auckland returned a test indicating significantly elevated levels of andosterone, testosterone and 5βAdiol, which are all non-specified substances prohibited at all times – athlete admitted the violation, and submitted emails as to mitigating circumstances – Tribunal accepted that the athlete had not taken the prohibited substances to gain a performance advantage – Tribunal considered that the violation was not intentional and agreed that a two year period of ineligibility should be imposed, backdated to 16 February 2019 (the date of the test) for the athlete’s timely admission
